Saying Grace with G.K. Chesterton

“You say grace before meals. All right.
But I say grace before the play and the opera,
And grace before the concert and pantomime,
And grace before I open a book,
And grace before sketching, painting,
Swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing;
And grace before I dip the pen in the ink”
- G.K. Chesterton

  1. wow, this might sound funny but it is great. It means in everything you do you should say the grace and also have the grace of God before you start doing anything.

    Christianity is a life style and this just proves it

    Shalom

    • True! And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

  2. Excellent. :) And if there is something you can not do in the name of the Lord, then don't do that.
